PHL 2202 - CONTEMPORARY MORAL PROBLEMS Analyzes moral arguments pertaining to difficult contemporary issues, with emphasis on clarifying and evaluating these. Discussion subjects include: abortion, euthanasia, the moral status of animals, the environment, the rights of women and minorities, censorship and pornography, etc. Course goal is to enable the student to assess the strengths and weaknesses of the various positions on each issue. PHL 2202 is suitable as an entry level course in Philosophy.
