AAS 1100 - INTRODUCTION TO AFRICAN AMERICAN STUDIES This introductory course provides a broad-based overview of African American life and culture. Through a variety of cross-disciplinary perspectives, including history, literature, philosophy, politics, socio-economics, and the arts, students gain insights into the black experience as it relates to their individual lives, the country, and the larger world.
