SWK 5534 - Integrated Field Experience IV

Provides educationally directed opportunities to demonstrate advanced mastery of social work competencies and application of knowledge and social work ethics and values in specialized settings. This final field experience is a compilation of knowledge, skills, and values developed from previous field experiences in the program and emphasizes advanced cognitive/affective dimensions of learning. The focus of this course is to provide opportunities for students to operationalize advanced year social work skills in the agency setting to ensure competency upon graduation. The course is designed for graduate level social work students and involves a monthly seminar experience in conjunction with the agency work. Instructional methods may include but are not limited to presentations, experiential learning activities, discussion boards, online activities, seminar workshops, synchronous and asynchronous lectures.
