BI 1112 - APPLIED AQUACULTURE

Design and implantation of closed recirculating aquaculture systems (RAS). The course is designed to provide training in the operation of typical RAS, including theory of operation and activities surrounding the care and maintenance of the fish stock, tank systems, and equipment. Students will employ their basic knowledge of biology, chemistry, physics, mathematics, and geometry to understand the principles involved in management and operation of RAS.

Credits: 3 cr.
