PHL 3330 - EASTERN PHILOSOPHY An examination of selected Asian philosophies and philosophical traditions with a specific focus in the nature of reality and of the self. While the primary focus is on Buddhism, elements of Hinduism, Taoism, and Confucianism will be explored. Continuing focus is on comparing and contrasting Eastern approaches to reality with traditional Western approaches but the primary goal is to offer ways that Asian approaches to reality are of significant importance in everyday, Western life.
