RTH 3506 - RESPIRATORY DISEASE II This course provides the respiratory therapy student with additional knowledge of pulmonary diseases necessary to implement therapist-driven protocols and provide appropriate care to patients. Topics include Acute conditions such as Hemodynamic emergencies and Shock, Acute Respiratory Distress Syndrome, Heart Failure and Pulmonary Vascular Conditions, Interstitial lung disease, infections in the immunocompromised patient, Lung Cancer and pulmonary compromise associated with specific lung injuries (trauma, near drowning, smoke inhalation and burns).
Prerequisites & Notes: Prerequisite: 3205 with a grade of at least a ”C”.
Co-Requisite: RTH-3523.
