HST 4452 - SOUTH AFRICA: FROM CAPE COLONY TO APARTHEID Explores the history of South Africa, from its founding as a Dutch Colony in 1652 to the collapse of the Apartheid system in the 1990s and the election of Nelson Mandela as president of a multiethnic nation. Particular emphasis is placed on the history of racial segregation and the development of Apartheid.
Prerequisites & Notes: Prerequisite: One history course.
