PHL 3380 - HEALTH CARE ETHICS Health care does not exist in a vacuum and neither do the concepts learned in this course, which offers a thorough examination of the arguments designed to provide solutions to moral problems commonly faced by patients and health care providers. Topics include: confidentiality; reproductive rights; death, dying and euthanasia; the distribution of scarce resources (including health insurance plans). No background in philosophy or in medicine is necessary.
Prerequisites & Notes: Must have 30 earned credits.
Credits: 3 cr.
