ED 3326 - TEACHING MIDDLE-LEVEL SOCIAL STUDIES This course provides a thorough background in the methods and materials for the teaching of social studies in grades 4-8. Emphasis is placed on self-directed inquiry, which focuses on identifying issues, problems, and contexts, and on methods to incorporate this knowledge and these skills into classroom instruction. Students will have an opportunity to plan and implement practice strategies of their own in the classroom.
Prerequisites & Notes: ED 1110, ED 2205, GEG 1101, HST 1111, HST 2201 and completion of Gate One requirements.
Credits: 3 cr.
